PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

Ammonia Treat (AM) is a blend of scientifically selected microbes formulated to drastically enhance ammonia removal in wastewater treatment operations.  As a beneficial side effect BOD/COD and sludge also decrease.  Through competitive exclusion, organic nitrogen is converted into amino acids, peptides and aldehydes.  AM bacteria are hyper-ammonia accumulators, directly consuming ammonia and converting nitrates into elemental nitrogen, reducing nitrates in discharge.

AM is a blend of facultative anaerobic microbial cultures, allowing it to function both with and without oxygen and across a wide pH and temperature range.  These bugs love ammonia, let them at your waste stream today.

KEY BENEFITS

  • Contains both hyper ammonia utilizers and ammonia oxidizers
  • Microbes both directly consume ammonia and also break it down into nitrogen and hydrogen, then consume the nitrogen for their growth activity
  • Meet wastewater (COD/BOD/TSS and ammonia) discharge standards and improve treatment capacity
  • Eliminates ammonia and other malodors, including hydrogen sulfide and methane
  • Drastically reduces sludge buildup
  • Decreases electricity demand of treatment plant aeration equipment
  • Improves wastewater treatment plant output reliability
  • Works together with existing microbiome to build a healthy and reliable microbial community

Problem
Rural landfill leachate with ammonia levels of 850 ml/L with strong ammonia odors

Treatment
Bio-Green Ammonia Treat (AM) microbes applied to raw landfill leachate in an aeration tank.  pH levels adjusted to neutral.

Results
Ammonia levels reduced from 850 mg/L to below 100 mg/L in 10 hours treatment and below 10 mg/L in 24 hours treatment
